Syska Iacono
Latin Ballroom Dance & Yoga Instructor
Syska was born and raised in Costa Rica. Growing up with a Latin dance culture, she has always loved dancing and body movement.
She took her Yoga Teacher Training with Paula Tursi (Reflections Yoga) in Montezuma, Costa Rica in 2005.
Soon after, she decided to also pursue her love for Latin dance, which took her from Costa Rica thru Central America and finally to the Staver Dance Sport Ballroom Dance Instructors College in Oregon, USA where she studied for 2 years with a variety of exceptional Dance Teachers: such as Linda Staver, Alexander Ivanov & David Arnold.
She took all four of her national dance examinations with Diane Jarmolow, one of the creators of the DVIDA syllabus. She was awarded High Honors in all of her exams and was recognized as one of the top two testing candidates in the USA.
She obtained her Associate of Dance Degree in Bronze American Style Rhythm from Dance Vision International Dance Association (DVIDA), which is recognized by the National Dance Council of America. Syska has been teaching readily ever since, sharing her passion for dance!
She is certified to teach Full Bronze in the following ballroom dances: Merengue, Mambo, Rumba, Bolero, Samba, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing & Cha Cha thru the DVIDA syllabus and Salsa thru the Oregon Ballroom Dance Instructors College.
Syska is very excited to share her knowledge and passion of these art forms, welcoming you to join her for some fun on the dance floor.
